But why on earth would you want to? Part of the fun of cruising is that you DO dress up. It's a different way of life from the "everyday" routine of home and all the better for it!!!(Now just excuse me while I change into a long dress and my tiara for dinner with my Husband this evening!!)

i agree with hornby but even on smart casual nights you may feel a bit out of place, we didn't see many people in jeans in the evening at all. on all other evenings anyone over the age of 13 is supposed to follow the dress code, and on our cruise most of them did, even the youngest children on board got dressed up putting some of the adults to shame!

yes, in the day but in the evening you can only wear jeans on a smart casual night otherwise you may be asked to return to your cabin to get changed. You may feel a little out of place in jeans but make sure they are smart (no rips in them)and you should be ok for smart casual nights.

I agree with Neil but we maybe we are the older school of thought but NCL now allows passengers to wear jeans in the dining room, not the environment I want to be in, but I doubt that P & O will, after all they are BRITISH !!

Oh! for goodness sake, would you consider wearing jeans to a posh restaurant with waiters wearing white shirts and black ties? Well that is the environment in which you and many others will eat and even if they let you in would you like people nudging one another and saying "look at what that person is wearing over there"? I know what my answer would be. ... Neil
