We did the Norwegian fjord cruise this year. It was running on one POD then - It was pretty-well unnoticeable, even in a storm we encountered in the Barents Sea.

I would not have thought so. We were talking about it to one of the engineering officers on our recent Oriana cruise. He said that what happens is if the ship goes above a certain speed a juddering effect is felt which they think is not comfortable for the passengers. Hence some of the time in some of the ports has been shortened. I would not think this would affect its ability to skirt bad weather. It will all be sorted out in her refit in November.

Thanks for your reply,my cruise is before the planned November refit and I was specifically thinking of possible hurricane conditions that can occur at this time of year.
