Q: Please could anybody who has cruised on the Ventura to to med on the LIDO DECK cabin with balacony at front of ship port side, its my first cruise and the deck seems very high up is it stable or would I better off asking for a different cabin to what i've been allocated for stability.

We have a cabin on Lido deck , front of the ship starboard side. The ship should balance nicely if we both sit on our balconies at the same time.

cruised on this ship in july to the canaries and spain/portugal. crossing the bay of biscay was quite rough this time but we have cruised to the med before and had no problem. number of people were sea sick but then alot of people were okay including my wife and myself. our cabin was at the rear of the ship on deck E and there was a little motion but nothing to write home about i have suffered worse journeys on the ferries from northern ireland to scotland. the ship is really nice and beatifully presented. the staff are excellent and food was great so you should really enjoy yourself. regarding the stability of the ship she is a little top heavy i thought due to her size but it would take very rough seas for you to notice any problems although the lower and more central in a ship you will experience less motion. this really is a beautiful ship and i think you will really enjoy it
