Q: Hello. I was wondering what the prices are like in general in the various shops on board. What choices do we have and are they open 24hrs. We are on the caribbean cruise leaving on December 5th.

There are some good prices on the ship and in the Caribbean you will also be able to bring back your regulated amount of Duty Free goods which are often on special offer, perfume isn't bad but you can often get better deals on islands like St. Thomas, in fact you can get really good deals on so much there. Branded watches are sometimes good prices too. Just be careful and you can get a bargain but they do have some old tat as well. No, the shops aren't open twenty four hours as they are closed when a ship is in port and they do let the staff go to bed at night, you'll see the times in the daily news sheet. Hope that helps. ... I'm going on this cruise too leaving 5 December but as far as I know we are not stopping in St. Thomas. I'm certainly looking forward to it.
