P&O Presents Circus at Sea!

P&O Cruises are set to launch Cirque Ventura, the first ever circus school at sea, in April - where passengers will have the opportunity to fly high above sea level on bungee trampolines and flying trapezes on P&O Cruises' new family-friendly cruise ship, Ventura.

Located high up on deck nineteen, highly skilled performers will run workshops with an array of exciting activities on offer including tight wire, acro-balance, clowns, break-dancing, juggling and stilt walking. The area will be equipped with four bungee trampolines, which will enable passengers to soar sixty metres above sea level, as well as a flying trapeze.  On each cruise workshop teachers and passengers will have the chance to perform in a special presentation. Cirque Ventura will be operated in partnership with leading UK circus skills firm, The Generating Company.

P&O Cruises managing director, Nigel Esdale said: "Cirque Ventura is set to be a firm favourite and is just one of a host of innovations on board Ventura. Any guest aged eight and over will have the chance to 'run away with the circus' and learn some innovative skills. Activities on the cruise include static trapeze, flying trapeze, aerial hoop, clowning and slapstick, break dancing, juggling and hoola-hoop, acro-balancing, tight wire, Chinese poles, stilts and bungee trampolining.
