we have just got back from a mini cruise to belgium on P&O's aurora. we left at about 5pm on Friday and returned on sunday morning, we did have a great time although we thought that it went too quickly and another night would have been good as it seemed that you just got unpacked and you were packing again.
we have cruised 6 times before but never with P&O so we thought it would be good to try. The ship is very nice although you could easily get lost as you had to keepgoing up and down to get to different places, it is kept really clean possibley the cleanest that we have been on.
the food and service in the restaurant was veru good although the self servce restaurant let it down as they didn't keep the food topped up so lots of it was always empty. Room service was very good and quick too.
We had a balcony cabin and although very nice it was a lot smaller than ones we have had before but again was kept very clean.
The casino was a bit of a let down as it was very drab, we went for a bet only the once as we thought that it was quite depressing. Also lots of nice bars although if you are a smoker you are very limited as to where you can smoke infact it was only allowed in one inside bar. Hooray say all the non-smokers.
All in all it was a really lovely cruise and we met lots of poeple that had been on the Aurora before and had returned as they thought that it was so good, we know what they mean as it really did grow on you. As i said before great cruise but not long enough. I'm sure if you book to go on this ship you will really enjoy it.
