Oreana fire & ice cruise june 4th-19th.our first cruise going to & from Southampton, which we really liked..not having the hassle of airports!first 2 days in Ireland..cohn&dublin..very enjoyable.2days at sea..up to Iceland..which was a bit rough..but we are good sailors..so no sickness.Reyjavic was interesting...but weather not so good..cold!the rest of the cruise through the norweigan fjords..was spectacular..again the weather could have been better..but the scenery was so good..we didnt mind too much & the bonus of long light nights was great
Oslo was lovely city to wander around..we bought the all day pass which allowed us to use bus, tram& ferry.
Last port was Zeebrugge.it was easy to get the train to Brugge..which is a lovely walled city..& very easy to walk around & see everything.
Apart from the weather..which could have been better..we really enjoyed this cruise & the ship itself. The food was excellent on board & all the staff did their utmost to give us an enjoyable holiday. The entertainment was not as good as some other cruises we have been on..but did seem to improve after a few days.
I would not fault the ship or the cruise..only the weather..which is out of our control.
