Yet again we have just returned from a fantastic holiday with P&O. The ship was filled with people of all ages, including over 250 children. The behaviour of the children was outstanding. The weather was mixed but this did not affect the enjoyment of the cruise. As usual the service, from waiters to cabin stewards, was first class. The entertainment was up to the usual standard; the shows were lively, the classical pianist was very good, and the guest speaker, Rob Bonnett, very interesting and informative. The Cruise Director, Gary Glading, was the best we had encountered. The only niggle was the choice of venue for some of the more popular shows; the Pacific Lounge was not big enough for the number of people who wished to see the Theatre Company perform. One change from our last cruise on Oriana was the conversion of the lovely Curzon Room into a Gary Rhodes Restaurant- what a waste! It would have been better to create a venue like Cafe Bordeaux on Aurora. As always the food provided, particularly in the main restaraunts, could not be faulted. We went on three excursions; two in St Petersberg. These were expensive but were convenient and enjoyable.
