Having read JONES comments, I will correct some of them. We paid a lot but not unreasonable amount for our mini suite, so if anyone is thinking of treating themselves for a special occasion, go for it, there are some good deals to be had. Having paid a little more you would think we would be hyper-critical, but not so. JONES advised take more hangers, no need, just ask your cabin steward, he brought us armfulls of hangers when we asked. Not all decks are accessible from all stairs or lifts, this is for safety reasons, so that in an emergency if there's a risk of flooding, parts of the ship can be isolated from the rest. This has been a common feature on ALL the ships I have sailed on, so don't be surprised if you come across it. It's just that due to Ventura's 19 decks, there are obviously more watertight doors (crew held a drill to check them one day when we were in port). We saw 3 shows, one we had to stand at the back as it was crowded and there is insufficient seating for the numbers on board, however the shows were well presented, although not what I would choose to see at home (I don't like musicals). I think JONES unfortunately chose the wrong excursion in St Petersburg. We had a city tour, then, when we went to the ballet, we were early so were taken into one of the cathedrals, it was glorious. The following day we did a tour which included some walking, and as the roads are much quieter at the weekend we again had a tour around the city which was an additional feature. As for real cream, once again we just asked the staff and they obliged. In both Tazzine and Ramblas I had Americano coffee which I prefer with cream, and the staff happily obliged. My husband & I had a lovely holiday, we won't be cruising for a while now, nothing to do with Ventura, just we prefer trying new things
