It was the Maiden voyage of the Ventura in the Med and we very much enjoyed it.It was also our 3rd cruise with P&O and the service ,the facilities together with the itenary were fantastic. Our cabin was spacious especially with the walk-in wardrobe and the raise bed under which we could store out suitcases. The shower-room was a bit small but it was fine. The extended balcony was very very good but it needs more furniture.Everywhere was very clean. For first time we had freedom dining in the cinamon restaurant and it was great experience as we could meet different passengers every day and so we made more friends. The theatre was very spacious well designed and all the performances from the "Ventura theatre company" were excellent. The excursions very well organised gave us the opportunity to visit Rome, Florence and Monaco and the guides were extremely good. I do like to have a walk after my meals and I was very disappointed with the narrow walking area of the promenade deck.Despite the minor teething problems of a maiden voyage I can say that the captain and the crew approached them very very well. The captain was excellent, very friendly person. Overall I can give to the ship and this particular cruise 5 out of 5.
Quality of Food5
We had our main meals in the Cinamon restaurant and we use the other two restaurants for breakfast and lunch. I also enjoyed the Frankies pizzas.
Entertainment5
The best performance was the "Saturday night fever" but I enjoyed all of them.Excellent
Shore Excursions5
This was the excursion from Livorno to Florence.Very well organised and excellent guides.
Staff5
I think I have to give 5 stars to the captain and his approach and dealing to such a vast environment. Our maid for the cabin was so sweet and kept eveything so clean and neat.
Children's Facilitiesn/a
As we didn't have children with us we only visited too see the facilities which look great.
Onboard Activities5
So many things to do all the time from physical activities, games and quizes. We did join the very late quiz in the Cinamon restaurant every night. It was excellent.
Cabins4
Everything was to our expectations except the size of the shower room.
Overall Rating5
